MY2018: Quest for CarPlay
So I just got a 2018 F-Type, my first Jaguar! ive been on the forum just under a week and getting my head around SDD / TOPIx and all things Jag related. I Do not have full access to my cars info as I haven't paid for a subscription. I wonder if someone with access wouldn't mind plugging in my VIN and letting me know if I have the IMC-based InControl Touch Pro, Bosch or harman based head unit. I have no idea how to tell, but I did see xDave look up another users unit on TOPIx and xDave could tell under "Minor Features"
2018 F-TYPER-DYNAMIC VIN: SAJDF1FV7JCK54766
Thank you in advance!!

I just ordered an Aliexpress unit from a vendor called I think Carsight. Looks a lot like other products but was about 300 dollars.
Install by a pro was another 200. Instructions came by email.
Basiclalli, wireless apple and android services, good screen performance on my 16, and siri if you push the icons area (bottom leff area) and hold.... Sound gets put to aux. One loses the sound skip ahead (left right) steering wheel use of a facotry system....but this was cheap and seems fine....I am happy and I can just say "hey siri, play next song".....gotta love it.
Anyway, carplay is out there for you if you have a bosch system.
