Oh wow, thanks! I was just bitchin, didn't think there was actually anything wrong. Will add it to the list...

Ol' Sam ditched his FTR for a McLaren 540, but couldn't stay away. He's getting an SVR

I found out the front J-shape Daytime Running Lights dim when put in Neutral. So random.

After 3 years of F-type ownership, just figured out (by accident) that pushing the left and right mirror selectors at the same time forces them to both retract or extend.

This would have been good to know in the winter when my mirrors froze retracted and the only way I knew to extend them was to turn the car off, lock the doors, then unlock them so as to get the mirrors to attempt another extension.

Does not work for me! I tried it on my F-Type base with no success I tried both remotes. Is there a setting to enable this?

It's called "global open".
In some markets the opposite works as well, ie hold the lock button down for a few seconds and both of the windows go up, called "global close", but not in Oz or UK or North America AFAIK (nanny state laws forbid it). It may vary from state to state in the US.

Global close works on my UK 2015 F Type R, don't know if it's an option

Is the reasoning that the hypothetical is one kid playing with another kid and the family dog and the family baby and everyone dies?

+1. Here in the States, people are apparently born with fewer brains, less commonsense, and the need to be protected from themselves by the government. Creates a false sense of security: these same people are responsible for selecting those that govern them...witness last November,

Hell, an F-Type is, by nature, an attractive nuisance! (And aren't we glad.)

something I haven't discovered, but would like to....is there a hack/mod to activate dynamic mode adjustable settings if they were not an original option? I would assume (maybe incorrectly) that the capability exists on the car whether or not you purchased the option and maybe someone has figured out a way to get it working.

Fingers crossed.

You wouldn't have the adjustable shocks so why bother.

Simple answer is yes, it can be done.
My S came with the adaptive suspension (it's standard on the S) but not the configurable option, called "Dynamic i". This allows you to mix and match four characteristics - suspension, throttle, gearbox and exhaust - across two levels, Dynamic or Normal.
But one day back last year Cambo dropped in with his magic SDD equipment and he was able to easily "switch on" Dynamic i for me.
In theory a dealer can do this but none will, and it is not a DIY option as you need some expensive equipment and a fair bit of knowledge on how to use it.
It only works in Dynamic mode, and I have mine set at Dynamic for throttle, gearbox and exhaust but Normal for suspension.
All that said, I don't know if it would work on a car that doesn't have active suspension.

No compass other than that small barely visible circle on the top left of the touch screen which I can hardly see. I like to see the general direction I'm going. Kinda primitive.

b-b-b-b-b-b-but the ride is so heavenly

...which reminds me; does anyone recall the Twilight Zone episode where this fellow dies, walks down a road with his dog, and come to a fork in the road?

(sorry for straying)
