Phew, good to hear Uncle Fishbits!
And that cubby, just about big enough for a bag'o'weed. (Not that I do that.) (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

(Not for the easily offended.)

Buy some work stuff to write off this year, donate more to charity in 2017 than 2018, pay your 2nd installment of prop taxes in 2017, and possibly defer income til next year but who the frick knows?

I had forgotten about that one. Funny. After this year, everyone would do well with one. I need one just to understand what the heck is going to happen to my taxes.

I think many of us are worried about fallout from the tax bill.
As penance you must make a sacrifice of premium tires and premium fuel at the nearest altar. Such an altar is recognizable by its tarmac construction and serpentine character.
I believe I must do penance as well.

I'm on the other side of the country, but if you find yourself in the neighborhood I could list some locations appropriate for "Sunday Services."

Really, really well said. We're in a F-Type, it can't be that bad for us. I know there is crazy inefficiencies in how our tax money is used, but I know "I didn't build that", in context of the infrastructure I drive on with my car, or the public schools that educate the kids that are probably going to have to take care of me when I'm older because I don't have any.
I'm sort of an eternal optimist in that way, and every time I see a public works project, or a road, or infrastructural improvements, or local firefighter saving people's houses, I'm pretty okay with paying taxes.
But I'm pretty sure that these companies who have more money in one of the greatest economy in decades.... don't really need it. Hell, companies like apple are sitting on a trillion, and have no idea how to spend the money. Is innovation over for now? Not in biotech (Crispr is nuts)....
But I keep thinking it would take someone like a modern Henry Ford to look at this tax break and say "we have so much money, and we didn't need this tax break, so everyone gets a raise.
Anyhoo.... Sounds like biz deductions don't change. Just personal. Yay pass through!👌 1st world problems indeed.
But do pay 2nd installment of your property taxes before 31st!!!!

Re: that secret compartment (see post #957 and following), I discovered that space a few years back when I was checking out different F-Type colors on a dealership’s lot. I was suprised to see that in MY 2016 the storage between the seat backs had been eliminated. The sales “specialist,” whose knowledge of the cars he was selling was fair to middling, looked in disbelief:
“What?… Naw, why would they have done that?”
He scrunched his brow, pulled… and pulled… till the cover flew off revealing that gorgeous arrangement of wire and tape.
“Well I’ll be…”
Since I bought my coupe I’ve thought about the possibilities, but always balked at the challenge. The job would essentially involve firmly and unobtrusively affixing three attractive sides to a box: back, top and bottom. The sides could be left as they are, as could the honeycomb backing of the front panel. Or a thin sheet of foam there would help immobilize small objects. An easy job if you know how to do it—excuse the tautology—but I have neither the know-how nor the tools. And would such a small gain in storage space be worth the effort? The box would only be suitable for infrequently accessed items that are rather flat. True, it would be “secret place,” which suggests a possible use: the car’s papers. What else? A few CDs?

You have the vision pack. That's not intermittent, that's auto mode. Just leave it on auto...they won't swipe at all when it's dry out.

Not sure if this is the same, but my wife's Mini Cooper automatically speeds up and slows down the wipers depending on your speed.
