Here's the story
Premises:
I updated the navi map (originally suplied/activated SD card) on my F Type through the official Jaguar InControl Touch Map Updater. Nota bene:
- it was a paid (112USD) update
- the whole process followed the steps recomended by Jaguar
Tools used:
Apple iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), macOS Mojave 10.14.6 (18G103) latest version
Original Jaguar activated SD card
Jaguar InControl Touch Map Updater, macOS Version 3.4 (3.4.2002117039)
Process:
SD card detected by the app, complete download, succesfull instalation, SD card correctly ejected and locked, taken to the car's SD slot
Result:
Incontrol navigation not functioning, navi settings not available, greyed out
Message on the display: SD card not detected/not correctly inserted in SD card slot
Time and money loss, temporarly (I hope) unavailable navigation function, frustration
I have an appointment set with the dealer to try an Incotrol software update or a new map update on a Windows os based computer with an older SD card reader/writer. I'll come back with details when I'll have my problem fixed.
Same issue, anyone?
