Navigation system

The navigation system on my newly purchased 2018 R doesn't work. It thinks that the car is in the sea off the west coast of Africa, 5,500+ miles from its location in Virginia. The dealer from whom I purchased it is 2,000 miles away and they insist that it was working correctly when it left them. I have tried everything which I can access through the settings menus but have been unsuccessful in correcting this. The battery is fully charged and has been on a CTEK at all times since I received the car and was not driving it. The rest of the Infotainment system works as intended and the car has no other faults. I have disconnected the battery for 30 seconds in an attempt to re-boot it but that did not accomplish anything. Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, how was it resolved? Is there a way to re-boot the infotainment system or is there a hidden menu which would allow this? Any suggestions other than take it to the local dealer?

According to my research the GPS antenna is in the trunk lid of the convertible. Also I have run across UK forum threads about the same issue. One was a bad telematics module and two others were a bad GPS antenna or antenna connections.
Also saw another UK forum thread where the issue was fixed by completely disconnecting the battery and shorting the positive and negative cables to perform a hard reset of the car electronics. This worked after all the associated antennas and electronic were replaced by the dealer.

I recently had mine in for navigation system issues. The navigation actually worked fine, but there was no voice guidance. The dealer had to do an InControl update. That takes 2.5 hours to complete. It failed the first time with no error message and had to be redone.
The system now works fine.
