From Nebraska
Please allow me to introduce myself - I am from Nebraska (USA) and am a car guy ---- I have never owned a Jag although I have often admired them. I am seriously considering ordering a 2016 F type. Specifically I am contemplating a base V6, white over black, carbon fiber roof.
I have already learned a lot here and look forward to participating.

Welcome teashea... You can't go wrong with any version of the F-Type.
Considering you are in Lincoln, think about coming out to a NASA event this year either with the Corvette you mention in your other post, or eventually with a F-Type. We'll be at Raceway Park of the Midlands (formally Mid America Motorplex) and Hastings this year.

When you're at Hastings, please tell George I said hello. He'll recognize my forum handle.
George designed and built that track, and I used to talk with him often during the planning process. His company, Gessford Machine, arguably builds the best and most reliable big-block 427 (7 liter) vintage, Ford side-oilers in the business. He's a Shelby dealer and very big deal in the Cobra world.

Not to dissuade you from the carbon fiber roof, but my number one option - which my 2015 V6S has - is the panoramic roof. I can't tell you nice it is and how much it "opens up" the interior.
Just making a suggestion (assuming you haven't seen it in person).
Best regards and best of luck.

+1 on RickyJay's recommendation for the panoramic roof. Don't count it out until you've driven a coupe with that option. It completely changes the character of the cabin.
