Need help with a problem
Hello all,
I just completed a 3000 mile trip, with nothing but enjoyment. The car was perfect.
But... After a night of heavy rain, this morning, the car starts and runs fine, but I don't have radio or maps. All controls for the car itself run fine from the screen but nothing for audio or directions.
I assume water got in somewhere and shorted something. It happened before, a few years ago and it actually fixed itself before I could find the source of the problem, which I would prefer to find this time.
Anyone can point me in the right direction for diagnosis?
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure what module or connector might be the problem, but I recently discovered water in the back. I was traveling while we had a deluge here: 8" of rain in 24 hours. When I returned home I noticed some condensation on the inside of the windshield. When I checked I found some water in the place where the battery lives. Not very much, but more than the correct amount of zero
I dried everything out and seem to have avoided any issues, but I was not able to find the leak with the garden hose. I'll probably need to pull all the trim out of the back, and maybe get out the pressure washer.
Anyway, that's the preamble to my advice to check that rear area.

I did have an antenna failure that was fixed under warranty. It only affected satellite radio but it is an amplified antenna so when it failed, I would get messages that it was trying to acquire signal.
