I use both heated seats and heated steering and don't drive in winter, but had car out yesterday and used both. Many will say it's still winter here in ny.

I like my suedecloth Performance seats, but that's a matter of how things fit you. Vision pack (backup camera, cross-traffic warning, parking sensors) is pretty important for a car that you really can't see out of.

Climate pack is nice, but I could live without it. I could easily live without the powered liftgate. I'd much rather have the $410, but it wasn't an option when I ordered. It was bundled with other stuff, and inseparable.

I lease a I4 since 6 month and it is a wonderfull car.
I try the V6 340 on road and V8, I4 (on track), before buying.

Believe me or not but on a very curvy track the 4 cylinder is a lot of fun, you really use all the engine ( You will never use all the V8 unless you are a pro ). And it's lighter so you feel better driving it.

Also you need to think about something which is the waranty ! with a new car you will have no trouble for at least 3 years ! The F-Type is not a reliable car at all... I had a lot of problems with JLR ( Range Rover, Jaguar ) and i am always happy to ear that i will not have to pay anything when i have a problem...

Sure you can get an V8 without option at the same price, but it will not stay at the same price long... when you will have to go back to the dealer with a leak in the engine...

Also an important think is that with all the used F-Type V6, V8 you will have the old fat seats and the old infotainment system ( Which is awefull - i had the same on a RRS )

You will enjoy this F-Type, i have no doubt about that !

I'd consider the climate pack a requirement for the convertible - makes early/late season top-down drives much more comfortable. Even in the summer, I use the heated steering wheel at times.

Wonder if the OP already signed his lease.

I have the climate pack on mine. I would not have bought had it been a decision I needed to make; purely on the idea that I drive it from spring to autumn, so not needed. However, it would have been a mistake here in the northern mid-west when you realize you also wish to remain married, mostly. My wife has that bum cooker on often; and if she is happy, I can focus on driving.
