New car is Here!!

Is it better than the older Uigeadail (as the newer ones are nowhere near the ones from 3-4 years ago) ? And I was not impressed by Ardbeg Blasda, so I am a bit skeptical now when it comes to new "casks"

Drove her to Bernardus Lodge/Winery in Carmel Valley for a nice lunch with the wife, it was a beautiful fall day and cruising in this car made us both feel alive, lol!
Bernardus was founded by Ben Pon who was among the first to import the VW to the US and was involved with Porsche and Audi as well so there are all kinds of old race photographs in their bar called Wickets.
I managed to put 54 miles on her and really am trying not to drive it in dynamic mode until after the break-in period but am failing miserably,lol...I'm still trying to keep it under 5k rpm and have only touched that number briefly...car really smelled like it was burning up when I returned home but it's just all the newness coming up to temperature.
Drove her another 20 miles this morning trying to get to 2k so I can really wring this thing out...really enjoying life here now, lol!
We're heading up to SF this wknd but I think I'll leave the car home safely in the garage and take the wife's Lexus instead...I don't trust valet parking...especially on a car I've only owned less than a week.

Will try and post up pictures Thursday evening before we leave for SF...but if you look up Vic's55 thread on his white R getting tint, mine will look exactly like his, he did 20% and I'm doing 18%.
Drove the car another 51 miles today (wifey and I are finding excuses to drive further and further away for lunches), lots of stares and people pulling along side of you on the freeway to get a better looks and then the thumbs-up,lol...wifey is enjoying that part!
Touched 5k rpm today briefly so I'm still good on following my break-in protocol, car certainly smelled a lot better today than it did yesterday when we pulled her in the garage but I'm still having to air it out for a few minutes before I close the door.

Coming back to this, Uigeadail is also one of my favs. I have already told you that i think it lost a bit of consistency over the past few batches but it still is really good.
Aberlour A'bundah is also still ok, as heavenly but avoid batches above 46.
Another really good choice for my fellow F-typer is the Glendronach 15yo and the Glengoyne 17yo. Those are still "corporate free" batches running wild amongst the much more marketed single malts.
And even if Glenmorangie is quite a dull story, the Nectar d'Or is also a nice choice.
Have fun buick! Your F-type is amazing!

You need neither active exhaust, nor the switch to get the impressive exhaust note, as well as the "pops and crackles." The base car does it quite nicely in Dynamic mode with the standard sport exhaust.
It's already loud without optional active exhaust valves open, which just make it even louder.

It sounds amazing in dynamic using the paddles but right now,I'm trying to keep my rpms in the 4500-5k range so not quite as much fun as it could be...but in 2nd and 3rd if you rev it to around 4k or so and then decal, you can really hear it pop.
Managed to put 85 miles on today to Big Sur,the Car Gods must have been smiling on me because traffic was nil and I was actually able to take some turns at speed...until the wife got scared, lol.
Have 325 on the odometer and I'm just on the crest of the reserve line and the car was just sipping gas at a real slow rate...pretty amazing range for my first tank I think.
