If even possible, I doubt it would be economically reasonable.

Waiting for Cambo to chime in but I suspect he will say "no way".

With many of these more advanced retrofit questions, the answer usually comes down to "it's cheaper to trade in the car..."

Unfortunately, it seems that only I think that digital speedometer is a monstrously bad idea. Dead pixels? Backlight issues? Stuck pixels? That would be BAJILLION DOLLARS for OEM part that only dealer can install (because it contains odometer).

How is it going to look in 2060 when your 2020 F-type is 40 years old? Speedometers on my all-analog cars from 80s and earlier still work just fine.

We have it in the XE. It has nice graphics and information, it is quite impressive. I have tried it in various formats (single dial, twin dial, map, different information) but the novelty wears off very quickly and I just get back to the standard twin dial with media in between. Errr...just like the F Type.

There is also something very much less involving about the flatness of the screen against the 3 dimensions of the standard screen with the dial housings that sit proud etc. I would usually want the latest and greatest in my cars but while I like the digital screen in the XE which is all about tech, I dont necessarily think it would enhance the F Type which is more about texture and curves.

Don't get me started on the issue of scratching the 'Instrument cluster' when you wipe it off after a sneeze!

powerfulukltd attempted a similar thing on a Range Rover Sport L494, No joy the cluster are coded to the car and different plugs. but someone with deep pockets could have a go ! personally would keep it standard but whatever floats your boat ;¬)

I don't mind a digital speedo, which is good since mine is blocked by the steering wheel. I use the digital readout in the center. For the tach I definitely prefer analog and fortunately I can see it better that then speedo.

+4. We have the digital screen in the F Pace, and just like Bruce said, the novelty wears off. You'd think all the options would be great until you realize you always leave it on the twin gauge layout.

Yeah, multiple choice is only great if more than one option is worth having ...

I use only the digital speed read out coz I can read/see that clearly but I can barely make out the analogue dial reading at all.
That's due to my dodgy short sighted peepers which means I wear glasses to drive but when I switch focus to something close it gets real blurry!
And I have tried bifocals, they lasted all of two days before the nausea and vertigo forced me to dump 'em.

I have progressive lenses that work real well for the purpose, but those took me over 6 months to get accustomed to when I first got them several years back.

I do sometimes like throwing the nav map up when we're on trips in the F Pace. But I don't imagine I'd ever use it in the F Type.
