New F type- Active Exhaust question

F-Type MY2018 V6S
Have the V8 X-pipe mounted on the V6, gives a ruff sound but no significant sound level change. They tried to mount the exhaust switch which is missing on my car but that seems impossible on the 2017 and 2018 MY, the switch is no longer detected, this is software related and can no longer be changed as in the past. I will need to find another way to command the exhaust control valves.
One lesson I learned, never by a F-type without the exhaust control button.
Cheers

Here's a pic of the V8 X-Pipe mounted on my V6 S,.
This gives a raspier sound but as the exhaust button is missing on my car the effect is almost unnoticeable under 4000 rpm.
The dynamic mode button has no effect on the exhaust solenoids whatsoever.
Anyone has a solution to this or knows a company that has and this without pulling the fuse?

Hello FR500 GT,
The sound is a bit louder at idle and gives a tinny sporty rattle on acceleration, concerning the drone I can't tell, need to pull the fuse. I have the active exhaust but without the button which I regret.
As I wrote before, active exhaust only opens at 4000 rpm, selecting the dynamic mode makes no difference. For that point I regret my F-Type base 2014 with the exhaust button. Would have liked that my car sounds like the 400 sport.
Cheers

I confirm, V8 X-pipe was installed on my V6 and bolds on plug and play.
Makes a hell of noise on start-up, this quickly disappears when the active exhaust closes.
Sounds more like the V8 now, it's a pity that I don't have the active exhaust button in the cabin.

Hello Bigdaddy,
I drive an F-type S with the active exhaust.
The kit that I talked about is for a standard 340 and can be found here;

The Kit will fit a 2014 F-type.
Finally I decided to mount the V8 X-pipe on my F-type S 6 cylinder, it is plug and play and gives a sportier sound way loud enough to wake the neighbours on start-up
I think that with a non active exhaust damper, the one that is mounted on your car, it will make an even lower sound and that for around 400$.

Hello,
Just to let you know that the more I start the car the louder it gets.
Still no cracks and pops when I drive the car but on acceleration it has a nice metallic rattling sound that I recon is caused by the X-pipe.
I appreciate this sound more and more.
Me like that
