New to Forum - looking for PPI for F-Type
Hi All! I've enjoyed reading the forum over the past few months and have learned a lot. Finally joined today.
I live just north of Boston over the border in NH and 2 years ago was dragged to my local dealer to check out the F-Type with my wife. To say I was impressed is an understatement. What a car! She test drove the V6 and loved it, then made the mistake of driving the V8 and there was no turning back. Only problem is the dealer sold the car and we've been casually looking ever since and now have a sense of urgency to pick one up.
Her needs are simple - Salsa Red with Jet Interior in a V8s with the expensive seats. This has been incredibly hard to find but there is no negotiating with her. And I don't blame her one bit.
We found a 2014 with the options she's looking for (and then some with the carbon fiber package) but one problem is the car is located in Utah and we are in NH.
CarFax looks good but slightly concerned it was not registered until it had 4300 miles on it. Dealer demo or perhaps the owners wife using it? For piece of mind I think it's best I get a PPI done.
Does anyone on the forum have a car guy who does thorough PPI's near salt lake city? Better yet, anyone have a V8 Salsa Red with Jet interior local to the Boston area interested in selling theirs or getting out of a lease?
Thanks in advance.
Joe

PM me the last 6 of the VIN....its KXXXXX. Typically cars that haven't been registered were JLR company cars as their field reps usually turn in their cars anywhere between 5000-8000 miles depending on supply and demand.
At turn in, retailers will buy those cars and at it to their inventory.

Dave, if Kitesurfer had not wanted the V8 it might have been a good chance for you to get a new toy
The dealer rep cars are usually pretty good and they are usually CPO so you get some piece of mind. Mine was a 14 V8S with 6,700miles when I got it a year ago. Happily at 16500 with a smile on my face

I just priced a CPO V8S too just for the hell of it and negotiated a decent deal. And then after thinking about it, it reinforced that I really like what I have.
