Red in front is an automatic ticket most places in the US. I tried this in my old XKR (not in red) and all I got were negative comments, and frankly it sounded better in my head than it looked. If you like it, it is your car, I'd change the color as the ticket, while not expensive, typically requires you to go in and show you've removed the thing, and during Covid, scheduling that could be problematic. If you want something lighted in front look at a lighted emblem. I've outgrown lighting the hell out of my car as I don't want it to become a ticket magnet but the emblem, to me, looks a ton better than the lighted grill. Your car though so your choice. Reminds me of a Caribbean island Ionce visited where it seemed all the (old) cars had underbody lighting.
So, you would see an old Chevy floating along on a sea of purple cloud (from the exhaust)
