New to the forum now that I have just purchased a '15 F-Type R. I have been wanting one for quite some time now, I just didn't have the extra cash being that I had to have the R (H.P. addict). I've always driven american muscle in the past, but I finally splurged and am so glad I did. I'm moving on from a 2008 Z-06, and obviously the difference is night and day. I can't believe how much I love this awesome car, the power is great and sound is even better. It was purchased in Florida last week and I flew down to drive back home to NY and put some miles on it. The car was very comfortable for the 1,100 mile drive back. I have just installed Michelin 4S's on it and what a difference it makes. The one thing I especially enjoyed on the ride home was I did not see one other F-Type from Florida to NY. Glad to finally be here and say thanks to all the knowledgeable and helpful members.
Congrats. It's beautiful. I went from 06 Z06, 08Z06 and 10 ZR1 to a 14R. As much as I loved my Corvettes power. And they were quite a bit faster than my F Type, I really thought the F Type was just a better overall car.
I'm a new member as well. Still looking around to see if there are others on the road but it's been almost 2 weeks and I haven't seen one. I've never had a car with power like this and I have to say I am loving the heck out of it. Still getting used to driving this since I've been feeding the middle age woman with an SUV stereotype for a while. Definitely time to stop that!
Congratulations on your purchase - I really like the black wheels.
Thanks everyone. I will never tire of hearing the roar when I push that button. I have to try to get my fill until winter, once the salt hits the roads it goes to sleep for the winter.

Melissa welcome to the fun! That smile is permanent by the way, it's on the disclaimer notice in small print on your paperwork.
Good to see a vibrant F-type community.
I was looking at a 2017 BRG Coupe with 6-speed, and I missed one in Houston, TX, as it sold over the weekend.
Drat..
Any one else know of any BRG manuals for sale?
BushyJuggernuts,
Thanks for your reply, but I think you misread my poorly worded post.
I missed the opportunity to purchase a BRG Coupe.. I took 4 days to decide, which was too long and it was sold to an other lucky owner.
So I am still in the hunt.
Ohhhh crap!!!! Well keep looking. You will find one. As they say at Barrett-Jackson Auctions..... and the bid goes on! I went to buy a 2017 White F-Type S. They sold it 2 hours earlier. Found my 2018 R-Dynamic 3 days later. If it is meant to be, it is meant to be.
Well, I DID IT! I found an other BRG , Saddle Tan, 6-speed! This time in Allentown PA!
But there is a story.... get some pop corn and enjoy the ride.
A few weeks ago I was looking at a 2017 BRG, jet interior F-type with 6-speed in Houston, TX.
I waited a day before making up my mind to make an offer... Too Late.
It was purchased by someone else. Apparently there were a few folks interested in that car.
This morning my search tool informed me of a new listing for a 2017 F-type with manual in Allentown, PA.
As is typical for a new listing, the ad had incomplete data and it didn’t have any pictures.
But a search on the VIN revealed it was a BRG with Saddle Tan interior! Score!
I was so excited, but first I had to do a bunch of other chores, all the while my stomach was churning.
I couldn’t believe I was so anxious about loosing out on this “first world nation” luxury purchase opportunity.
My wife was supportive of my interest, so I stopped what I was doing and called the dealer, introduced myself, and left a deposit on the car... the salesman was a bit confused with my accelerated purchasing behavior, and acceptance of the List Price. He said it was the easiest and quickest deal he had ever made.
After doing some paperwork with him over the next hour he says that two other guys called about the car and were pissed that it was already sold! I wonder if they are on this forum swearing at my speedy purchase.
Apparently BRG 6-speeds are a hot item!
Here are a few photos from the salesman....
I will change out the black rims for silver... any body want the black ones?
Yeah they go quick even in this crazy year called 2020. Congrats and happy motoring. Glad to hear the wife was supportive. It was a hard sell for me to convince the wife but she gets it now.
