Smile New Owner First Impressions

Recently purchased 2015 Italian Racing Red F Type R and traded in my Viper. First thought after seeing this vehicle was pictures and videos don't do this car justice. It's absolutely beautiful, the lines and aggressive stance make this car stand out!

After driving it I was impressed with the sound and overall speed. I went from a raw racing car to a refined sports car. The viper was faster and louder but this car can be controlled and definitely has a leg up on a lot of cars.

Thank you all as this forum helped me make my decision and has a lot of knowledgeable followers.

Welcome to our band of ne'er-do-wells. After 15 months and 16k miles, the thrill is still what it was when I first brought it home. (and then some with the tuning).

I highly recommend tossing out PZeroes and getting Michelin Super Sport tires. Also, assume PO didn't maintain car at all - so change all fluids as if they are overdue.

I came from the Viper world as well and haven't looked back. My F-Type has had a lot less quality problems than either of my Vipers (2000 GTS, 2006 SRT/10 Coupe) had. Which generation Viper did you come from?

I had a 2005 viper and really didn't experience any real issues. The dealer put new tires on the rear of the Jaguar but I 100% agree PSS are the way to go. I have purchases PSS on my viper and C63 AMG and it's by far the best tire.

Three days with car and I can't wait to drive it tomorrow. Just ordered some car car products that I'm looking forward to using.

My Daily driver (jeep SRT) is going to see a lot less miles.

I've not upgraded the tires on this car yet, but it needs it badly.

With the VelocityAP tune on it, I'm pretty sure my F-Type would beat my SRT-10 in a straight line but would not touch a Gen IV or Gen V Viper.
