Picked up my new F type S MT recently

I've already learned a lot from the knowledgeable members here just by perusing the archives. But wow there's a lot more to learn.............

This is my first Jaguar and I hope it doesn't give me too many troubles

Anybody else in Colorado?

Trouble? As in with LEO? Quite possibly. Trouble as in with the car itself? Nah. Maybe a few small issues here and there but, for the most part, the F-Type has been essentially trouble-free. Nothing is perfect but the F-Type comes pretty damn close IMO.

Congratulations & Happy Motoring.

Welcome! My F type has been reliable but you may want to take it to the dealer to have all the TSBs applied. My brand new car did not have them applied including the one for the stereo which made a huge difference.

You probably are aware but some users have reported clutch issues so keep an eye out for that. Both the clutch and stereo issues have their own threads.

Otherwise enjoy an awesome car!

Congrats and welcome! What year is it? Interior finish? It's helpful for forum Q&A to have your signature line show your model, year, etc.

Welcome to a great group of very knowledgeable folks(me not included, I'm still learning myself). My son is in Westminster with my former '79 Vette. Be careful if you go up that way. He and grandsons are already debating who gets to drive the F-Type back from my memorial service......
Enjoy a fantastic car in a great driving area.

Thanks for the heads up... I had all the latest software updates added.

So far the stereo sounds pretty good, no complaints there. And the clutch hasn't given me any problems yet though I've only got about 500 miles on it and really haven't driven it too hard.

It's a 2016 S model

The interior is the red leather with the performance seats, interior black pack, vision pack and extended leather pack

I was a little reluctant with the red interior but it's much less aggressive in person than it appears in photos

Thanks for the reply.... my only experience with JLR was with a Range Rover that was nothing but trouble. Looking forward to putting some miles on this one...
