Made another trip to NOLA Motorsports on new tires.
I bought some Yokohoma V601s because the Bridgestone I had were done.
I wanted to go with another round of ~280 treadwear tires before moving on to Cup2's.
I didn't really nail tire pressures until the 3rd session where I ran my best time, but even with the pressures a bit high or low I was a hair quicker than I was on the S04's.
I wound up trading positions back and forth with the 1LE Camaro in the video. We generally were within about 1 second of one another's times, and he set a personal best of 2:06.5 nipping my PB by 2 tenths.
I saw that he was on Goodyear Supercar 3's so I am glad to have hung with him, though there is still some time on the table for both of us in better lines and greater commitment.
The GT3 in the photo ran a best of 2:05 so that's my target for my next outing. (Not sure what the McLaren ran) My stretch goal was 2:08.0 for this trip and I managed to best that.
My father (400 Sport) also managed a personal best, dropping 6 seconds from his first track outing.
I was not, but I may give that a go in my next outing. The tranny does an admirable job keeping me in the power band, but there are a few spots where I think a lower gear may have helped.
What fun! That looks great! From the drivers perspective, that track looks a lot like the now defunct PBIR (the old Moroso) in Palm Beach, Florida. What happened to the Camaro at the very end? Did he recover from that one?

It looked to me that he was watching his mirrors at the F-Type gaining on him instead of driving and that led to a Code Brown situation

He did manage to catch it. Sorry for the cliff hanger ending. I kicked myself when I saw where I choose to cut, but didn't feel like re-encoding
I am not sure how he managed to get so sideways as we were slowing down for the miata, I think his tires may have been a touch overheated from our antics in the prior laps.
