First, back to stock for a baseline calibration and to wipe my previous tune...
BTW, the pulley I received from VelocityAP is solid steel, not aluminum, which makes me happy. Oh yeah, and I paid for both the tune and the pulley, so no free swag for bull here, so I'll give my honest reviews. That being said, this will be a scientific process that will give Stuart and his team a chance to make iterative improvements based on feedback and mods. Wish me luck...never mind I'll rely on skill instead.
Good Luck and keep us posted. I'm also looking for a tune in the next couple months, but there are sooo many companies out there claiming this HP gain and this torque gain you don't know who to choose. I'm also not that technology savy and relying on you guys to help me in that choice when the time comes which should be this summer. Currently working on 2 projects with the new car so once they're finished will look at the tune.
Pretty much the same size as the OEM pulley on the V6.
BTW, the pulley is very well made. This is a custom made part, as I've seen the CAD dimensions personally, so no crappy corner cutting here. Steel pulley, steel shaft, similar expansion rate, frictional properties, etc.
Sounds good. I let my friend borrow the car, should have it back this weekend or the next. If you ship it out before then, no worries.
No problem, I'm sure Stuart will give us a bit of slack. I'm going to have the tune accommodate the pulley and 200 cell DPs for now. Perhaps blower porting later. I'll read my ECM tomorrow and send the file to VelocityAP for verification of the version and they will send me a stock file with any relevant updates and then create a tuned file based on my intended mods. I'll flash to stock first and verify no issues persist from the previous tune and then flash the tuned file for analysis.
Stuart, you really need to insert a winking emoticon after that statement, otherwise some here may take you seriously and think your customer service needs a little polish...
Step one complete. Flashed my ECM back to stock today. All the issues with the car I was having are resolved now that the previous tune is gone. The next step will be to flash the VelocityAP tune.

Thanks to the hard work put in by Chris at VelocityAP, I received my custom tune this afternoon. I immediately flashed from stock to the stage 1 tune and went for a 20 min drive. All I can say is holy f@*k!!! The ECU hasn't even fully adapted.
This is by far the fastest my car has been throughout the range. Even more importantly, the drivability and smoothness of the power is much improved over my previous tune.
This is the first time I was able to spin all 4 tires in 1st gear.....remember I am AWD. The power below 4000 rpm is substantially improved over stock as well, which is a feature that other tunes can't seem to address.
Clearly, comparative dynos will be necessary to see what is going on quantitatively, but so star so good.
Great, are you planning to publish before and after dyno data? That would be very helpful.
I will definitely dyno the car before and after as soon as I receive the new flash loading tool. I want to be able to dyno both stock and the tune on the same day. Unfortunately I don't have a Kess tool of my own.

Hehe..glad you like it, that second file might uncover some more power in stock form..as you know the 2nd file is a test file :-)

Just loaded and tested the "exploratory" file. Definitely even more power through the range and I broke traction for the first time from a standing start in second gear! The throttle lag that plagues the stock file is eliminated running either tune. BTW, I was testing on a warm day (75 degrees) with a hot car, so I would expect even better power in ideal conditions or with more octane.
I will log data to see how the AFR and Spark behave.
