Default Newbie jacking/lift question

Is it safe to assume that most repair places I would bring my f type to would know how to correctly lift or Jack the car if needed? I know there are arrows that show the location. Is it better to put it on a lift or use jacks from the side if for example you wanted to replace the tires or brakes?

I don't know that I would say it is safe to assume all places would know where to jack properly. It can be done safely with a lift or jacks, just need to use the correct jack points. If you are bringing it someplace, you may want to advise them of the jack points, in case they are unfamiliar with F-Types.

Here are some pics of safe jack points - Car is on my lift.

I’m imagining it could be really ugly if not done properly!

You can't assume that the 'tire store monkeys' will place the jacks the same way on each visit! Our Wife's van had damage to the rocker panel seams after the tire store we used for years got stupid.

That is why I dis-mount the wheels myself on the collector cars, and bring them to the tire store.

I lifted my own 2015 F-Type to change out the winter wheels/tires for the summer. Photos show a block of wood on jack so frame sits on solid surface and not perimeter of jack. Other photos will show indented triangle and front (about 5" in from triangle/rail) and rear (about 8" in from triangle/rail) lift points. I have Continental DSW Extreme Contact for winter and DW Extreme Contact for summer.

My fingers are the lift point on the front.

I placed the stand in between the 3 bolts.
