Default Nice vid on how to make lots of snap crackle pops

I thought I had my method down (high RPM then let off the gas) but this technique will allow a longer more sustained barrage. Basically get the RPMs up to 5000, let off, then tap.... tap.... tap...

The instructions start at 9:18.

Enjoy

Funny video. Ive been doing something similar for a few years now. High RPM shifts also create a staccato sound like a machine gun. These guys are definitely of a generation that has taken certain words that would be negatives and definitely made them positives.....funny. They have also been listening to Jeremy!

Haha, I do that with my '10 XKR in second gear. It doesn't sounds as impressive as the F Type but it does full on back fires in second when I ease of the throttle while the engine is warming up and I can make it do it repetitively by lightly tapping the throttle again.

lol yeh feathering the throttle on decel seems to be the way to go

i do worry if that is doing any long term damage to the trans though - any mechanics/engineers care to explain the relationship bw tapping throttle and engagement of the torque converter in such a scenario

Those crackles and pops are really addictive - everyone I've given a lift to has agreed, too! And that SVR takes them to a new level (the crackles and pops, not my passengers!). Awesome cars.

I can go longer and louder pop than that...let me see if I can get some decent video for proof. I may have the loudest f type on the planet.
