No more pops and Bang
Hello Guys,
My 2015 (MY 2016) Jaguar R was perfect before Jaguar recently updated the software without asking me for approval. Now it's so quiet that I really don't think I can keep the car as it is. No more pops and Bang, also the Dynamic Mode resets every time the car is restarted.
When I complained about the noise issue I was told it was done due to Noise regulation and it can't be reversed. I'm wondering if this is legal? I bought the car for 2 reasons only. One was for the look, and the other was for the noise. It seems this is a common occurrence when these cars have the software updated.
Anything I can legally do to have this reverted? I don't want an aftermarket tune due to the Warranty issue. I'm based in the UK.

yes because they don't have to investigate, but if your engine blows or something else happens they will look into your files and found out it's been tuned, for small stuff they do not check

I’ve always found the logic for waiting until after the warranty expiration to tune to be spurious. Engine blows up before the warranty expiration as a result of the tune...big $$$. Engine blows up after warranty expiration...big $$$. No difference, so why wait? If you’ve properly stressed the engine after the break-in period for a few thousand miles and the engine is still intact, it is unlikely the untuned engine will fail under warranty. If it then fails with a tune under warranty, you’re no further out of pocket than if a post-warranty tune causes your engine to fail.
