Since a member asked in a PM, it's really simple to add an extra screen with phone contact shortcuts. I don't remember if I had to enable anything in the settings to be able to add an extra screen, but don't think so. This probably doesn't work on the older systems but in the ICTP system in my MY18 car I just swipe right on the main screen and get a new screen like this where I can add shortcuts to lots of different stuff, like specific phone contacts.
You get the extra screen on MY18 with the 8" screen, too. I've not tried to add phone shortcuts since I have no-one I want to call when I'm driving (and not many when I'm not!), but I have set up connectivity, ambient colo(u)r, media and dynamic config shortcuts.
Yep, ICTP = InControl Touch Pro which came in both 8" with physical buttons and 10" without buttons. I have the 8" version. You can actually add several additional screens with own icons/widgets, choose the size of the icons etc.
Could be that the pro version came only with the MY18 cars and onwards but I'm pretty sure earlier cars had a very similar version so I thought they may have had this custom screen/shortcut feature too.
I will add to the 'questionable coverage. I find my nave screen on my newly acquired 2020 to be very 'pale'. I have tried looking at the settings page for a slide or other way to increase the colour saturation, and only found a button to get a light or dark screen. I am thinking of placing a garmin GPS in the slot. It has great colour and all the info I need to operate the car, just would look a little 'rigged'.
I’m sorry if this topic is covered elsewhere in this forum, but is there a way to retrofit the 10” system in a MY2018?
A couple years back this matter had been discussed on this forum. I seem to remember the answer is a definite no, but a forum search might reveal something different.
