We did the TotD last year, and several times in the past, so we aren't going this year.
There are MANY fine roads that compare in the southwest VA-NC-TN area. Many are documented on the Internet. You probably could try different ones every weekend, for a YEAR...

Living in Charlotte, the Tail of the Dragon is not too far away. Almost did it this week but the weather forecast was a little iffy so we deferred. Now we can do it as part of the group!

 

Darn! On my bucket list but I'll be driving the wife out to SoCal in mid-May. Maybe next year.

Recommend booking Tapoco sooner rather than later, if that’s where you want to stay. They usually sell out. Our hold is good until Friday, I believe.

 

So are the rooms held under 'Jaguar'? I just checked and there's only a cabin left.

I'll add that this was my first time at the Dragon, and Mel did an extremely good job of organizing things. Agenda's, maps, addresses, radio's, etc, etc. Expectations were exceeded. I will also say that 15 Jags running through tunnels together sounds epic

 

The firesand orange always takes the cake 🎂. What a beautiful shot of all the F-types swerving!

I wish I could have met you all. I had planned the time off work but dates didn't align for me. My daughter returned from a 6months stint in Europe and I opted to pick her up. I will plan to enjoy the chorus soon. (as long as the event happens again)
