There is an apparent fix reported by a couple different forum members but I’ve not found any other details beyond what’s circled in red. It occurs to me that a complaint to CARB in California might get Jaguar moving on this as proper ODB2 port operation certainly can be an emissions related issue and they don’t take this kind of thing lightly.

I went out and started my car. Already had the OBDLINK MX+ plugged in. I opened the app. Connected my phone to the device via Bluetooth. Then, without disconnecting or closing the app, I shut the car off. I came back later and the RED TRIANGLE was off. It must be an issue with the software as stated above by @Slappy

am looking to purchase OBDLINK MX+ and trying it out but am wondering which app I should buy to go along with it (iPhone compatible) to display not only outputs but also error codes. Anyone have any recommendations for a good app?

I use the OBDLink app. It's free. I use Android but there is an iPhone version too. It "should" work the same. Torque Pro has also been used. It is $4.95 in the Google Play store. Probably the same for Apple. I am going to purchase Torque Pro and see how it compares. I think there are others but have not tried them.

Hello, I also have problems with the OBDLink MX+

What firmware do you have on the device?

Currently there is version 5.10.3

Thank you

Received the OBDLink MX+ and verified that it does indeed shutdown and triangle light turns off so am happy about that. Also tried the OBDLink app but it doesn’t seem to have tranny temp as an option (Jaguar is not available as an Enhanced OEM Add-on). Looking at the App Store, looks like the Torque Pro app is a fake and not the same as the one for Android. Anyone else use another IOS app that has tranny temp available? I need to change tranny fluid but can’t do it without it. Thanks.

Running into the same issue. My work around was to buy a cheap Andriod phone to use as a cheap 6" tablet for ~$100 and get the Torque app. I also bought a Lisen model LV655 phone holder to attach the phone in the car. Didn't get to try it all out yet.

good idea. I have an old android I can use but would rather see if there’s an IOS app that would work.

I had no luck finding anything that looks as good as Torque Pro for IOS.

Remember the real advantage of Torque Pro is the ability to add custom PID packs. Cambo built a wonderful set just for Jaguar and it's great.
Attached is the instruction sheet and yes it includes transmission temperature and a custom dash board of gauges again just for Jaguar.
For me it was boost and IAT monitoring.

Yes it's just what you need for transmission fluid changes. WAY easier than SDD or burning yourself using a trying to read the fluid dribbling out of the transmission with a hand held gun.

Take a look I have used it for years now.

If you have problems I have the file in both metric and English units.

@clubairth1 , I’ve downloaded whatever version of the file and placed it in the directory specified, then added the config string but am not able to see the file when selecting a predefined set. Any ideas or tricks I need to perform? Thx

Ok. Somehow I loaded the custom pids even before I followed the instructions. Anyway, they are in Celsius. Don’t mind using it but if you have the Fahrenheit version, could you share that?

Hey great job!
Sorry but I did not include all I had. Attached are the Celsius and Fahrenheit PID's
Also a small tutorial on adding any custom PIDS you want.

Again I want to thank Cambo for all this work. I don't see him post much anymore and I did see he is deep into a Jaguar repair/tuner shop over in Australia. So maybe too busy to post much anymore?
