Default OEM Audio Interface

Just as information, I reached out to NAVTV and begged them to consider making an OEM audio interface that will work with the Digital Coax systems now used on the latest Meridian systems. If correct, this would be anything from about 2018 on. Might be helpful if those in the forum reach out as well if its something you may want as an option to eliminate the Jag DSP/AMP when building an upgraded audio system. They are not doing much of anything right now for current JLR vehicles.

Additional information regarding this topic. I received information on pretty good authority from Mobridge that there will not be an OEM Audio Interface created for the 2018 and on Meridian Systems. These Meridian Systems use Digital Coax/Automotive Ethernet instead of MOST to pass the audio signal and control commands to the AAM. He said that Jaguar is abandoning this system for something else, didn't say what or when. The sum of it is that none of the OEM integration company's plan to invest money in R&D to reverse engineer this system to create and Audio Interface to allow removal of the AAM and provide an unprocessed signal to input to a DSP or amplifier as the Jaguar/Landrover cars are a low volume boutique cars in their eyes which is very disappointing for audiophiles.

However, after speaking to the Audison rep recently, there is promise with the newer Audison product line like the M8.14. He said this is one of their products has the software tools and ability to unravel the processing done by the jaguar AAM such as delays, eq, and all pass filtering. Seems this may be the best we will get deprocessing the signal with systems using the automotive ethernet systems.
