That said, don't expect me to change the way I say it (jag-whar), but you won't catch me saying "Jag." There's right and there's right, and there's also wrong.

Nice PDF, except for this stooooopid bit early on (and I quote): jaguar (JAGwhar).
What imbecile decided that was the correct way to pronounce the word jaguar?
Yes, the emphasis is on the first syllable but the word has three syllables not two - it is JAG - u - ar!!!.
But I suppose it is (very slightly) better than JAG - wire!
Edit - maybe I was just a tad harsh.
In the online Oxford dictionary the English version says JAG - u -ar but the US version says JAG- whar, see here: https://www.lexico.com/en/definition/jaguar
Toggle between UK and US and hit the "pronunciation" link on each.

Another quirk I've noticed is "herb" which Muricans pronounce like a cockney, dropping the 'h'. However, while dropped it's not lost, it reappears in "vehicle", which in the UK we pronounce "vee-icle".

The wife says that having a coin under the floor mat prevents breakdowns.

Honestly I haven't decided what to do with them, the bottom is all corroded and I don't have any aluminum polish to try. I just wonder how it got so nasty in there and if there was a part I was missing.

I never drink in the car and I forbid my passenger from doing so so I have zero use for the cup holders.
Instead I pulled it/them out many years ago and lined the compartment with a piece of black car carpet cut to shape and I use it as a sunglasses holder, works great and no rattles.
