I really like the wheels shown on RickyJay52's and SonofGaladriel's cars. Some of the factory offerings are less than attractive in my eyes and the wheel styling and color really has a lot of impact on the overall styling of the F type. Nice photography too.

Thank you Dwight and RJ52! It took about a year but it was worth it!
I do love these wheels! Never in my dreams did I expect to find my F Type with these upgraded wheels in my price range. They will be coming off each Winter in hopes of prolonging their good looks.

Greetings from KC...Back to Jag...been awhile...2003 XJR was the last one. Anyway, picked up this 15K mile, loaded up “Chiefs” Red S this weekend for my wife. Will change a few things around but not much to complain about. A little dirty but scheduled for ceramic next week.

That is what is being promoted at the moment I've seen.

XKE 60th anniversary on Monday I believe...
Made the decision to part with my Series 1 to get a F-Type but also needed the longer space in middle for the XF S Sportbrake. Still have the 1966 S-Type, so still a three Jag family... ;-)

We're a 3 jag family too, with an XF S which I love

More than likely as it's Sunday. Hayfields has become impossible on Sundays now you have to 'buy' a parking space for an hour & 1/2...! Leave it to the Paganis, Ferraris and Porches...

I went to Hayfield's on a Sunday morning over the fall for the first time and it was nice enough but felt like the listings on Bring A Trailer, i.e. Porsche owners' club with a couple of other brands mixed in here and there.
Can't imagine the crowded parking lot situation will improve post-pandemic either.

That's about right. Our little group were on of the first to go to C&C at Hayfields as I know the owner from Lime Rock days. Now mostly Manhattanites and friends in there Exotics as well as Porsche club groups who go on for a drive. Has become like C&C at New Canaan, where I also haven't been for a couple of years now.
Back to simple and local is best...

Jaguar Associates Group (JAG) had a meet today. It was my first with the group. One of the more driving-inclined noted they like to drive somewhere, then eat and drink. That seems to be accurate, although my sample size is hardly statistically significant.

We met at the local community college, DVC. It's quite highly regarded as a feeder to the USC system. We started with a tour of the design and machining labs. I can't remember the proper name of the school, but it was something along the lines of industrial design and engineering.

From there we went to the top of Mt. Diablo where the eating and drinking (I assume the latter in moderation) took place. I wanted the parking lot talking to people and taking what it turns out were largely mediocre pictures.

A coupe of the forum peeps were there:

This one was a beauty. Someone told me that the owner's son had it fully restored for him. It was really nice work.

This is about half of the main lineup. The ability to park in a line with even spacing was not in evidence. Not even a little.
