Default Bill's IRR 2016 F-Type R

I picked her up in Denver last weekend and she had Xpel and Opti-Coat Pro installed before driving home to Colorado Springs. It took a little over five months, but it was worth the wait!

At Colorado Detail after paint correction and Opti-Coat.

At the USAF.

I went for a ride with a friend yesterday evening, and we did get some attention when we made a quick stop at a lorry parking lot. Not often you see these two models together in Norway:

Looks like i'm not the only one who changed the side skirts. The rear diffuser doesn't look nearly as bad in red as it does in white.

Yes. I think the IRR diffuser looks pretty good, probably because it's a fairly dark color. But the skirts look unfortunate in any color... IMO of course!

Here is what I think is a good looking naked rear end. With my plates that just arrived today too!

Still waiting on the CF wrap to see what the 2016 "fat" skirts look like when wrapped in CF...

Great plate, TX, love the black design on your car.

However, I'm not a fan of badge deletes. I particularly like the F-Type badges, as long as I can keep my J stuck. I did notice it was loose when I washed the car last night.

The loose J is becoming an epidemic. Maybe they need to issue a TSB...

I also really dislike the skirts, particularly the 16 iteration. To me, they camouflage that beautiful curved line on bottom of the car ending in the flared rear fender. Along with the rear end, that's one of the best features of the design.

Fair enough, but that's just such a dark color... I'll revise my opinion to "the skirts unfortunate in colors that aren't really quite dark, whereupon they are just quite fine".

BTW, that's a nice looking color

You are Absolutely right. I was so sure I would Love the Skirt and rear diffuser. The Colored Rear Diffuser actually looks awful IMHO. Once i saw it at the dealer, I was very underwhelmed. Made the car look so much more common and not as brilliantly unique. Sometimes its best to leave the original concept design alone.

+1.

It does subtract from the simple elegance of the original design. Fortunately, this mistake is easily reversed.

I found the straight black "aero" sills on the 15 Rs almost tolerable. I can't imagine what they were thinking by going to the curved, body-colored design on the 16s.

That door handle bulging out just ruins the beautiful clean lines... (Maybe you should lock ?)

I've made the same mistake when taking pictures of my car. I try to remember to lock it.
