I have this Jaguar Owners Manual website bookmarked for easy access on my desktop too. You can plug in the model year for specific information that may have changed over the model run:

Okay, bring out the disagreement and hate, but those pictures reveal why it would be an improvement in the exterior finish of these cars if they were cut and polished--given that the clear coat is robust enough to withstand it. In order to attain a show car finish it is necessary to wet sand and polish to remove the orange peel effect that simply spraying produces.

I had mine paint corrected (cut and polished) and full ceramic coat. It does make a difference.

Purdy!! It was nice here in NH too, but the roads are already salted so mine is hibernating.

Thanks Cgo. The coast has been spared the salt so far but it's coming and I was delighted to have one more day to drive it prior to putting it to bed for the winter!

I am considering having that done as well.
Was the depth of the clear coat measured before the cut and polish do you know?

Yes, but I don't remember the thickness. the shop said it was plenty thick enough though.
