Have you learned to slam the hood from the middle, so it latches evenly? Check to see if the sides are flush after closing.
The first F-type I test drove, and the first I ever saw, was a Firesand V8S in May of ‘13. Herb Chambers then took it as his personal car for a while.

Anticipating the obvious coming, I'm just about to do a preventative overhaul of the coolant system with metal/aluminum parts, including the dreaded upper/Y-pipe and all plastic hoses, fittings, etc. At the same time while it's all torn down, we're going to replace the water pump, the thermostat cyclops (with the new aluminum/metal one), supercharger oil, SC coupler, the coolant line under the SC, change the SC and accessory drive belts, flush the coolant (and diff fluid), add the Mina Gallery upper intake tube kit (to replace all that crap intake plastic), and then button it back up. A great, local indy shop is allowing me to purchase all the parts, fluids, and leg work and they will be doing the labor.
Wish me luck- 😎

Instead I simply let it drop from around 40-50 cm.
No fuss no muss no slam and perfect close every time.

I wonder if you can do it this way because the gas struts on yours have weakened over time. On both my MY18 and my MY23, if I push the hood closed to about 40-50cm and let it drop it would just stay there, as there is enough upward pressure from the gas struts to hold it up at almost any position. It needs to be pushed down with mild force to latch.
