I would characterize the day-to-day ride with these springs as being slightly harder than stock, but not shockingly so. Actually harder isn't the right description, since it's actually a tiny bit nicer on small bumps. It's just less forgiving on larger bumps now, I believe mainly because there's simply less travel available. I think the fact that the springs are progressive rate helps with it being slightly gentler on small bumps. That, and I took a couple pounds of pressure out of each tire.

The way I see it is that I've traded a tiny bit of ride comfort in certain situations for a big upgrade in handling, stability, and looks. And frankly, I never expected (or wanted) this car to have a plush cushy ride anyway. It's not a Rolls. I'll get the cushy ride when I'm old .

That being said, I wouldn't want to drive this setup anywhere that has rough roads. Obviously there is now less suspension travel available, as well as less clearance. Would not use this setup for the Sand Job lol.

Truth be told, installing lowering springs on this car has been a bit of an ordeal for me (due to peculiarities of this car, not the springs).
If I could have a redo, knowing what I know now, I would spend a bit extra and go with KW height adjustable springs, which look intriguing. I wouldn't get coilovers because I'd want to keep the adaptive dampers.

I have never been fan of the blade wheels but painted on yours they look siiiick!
Also your car looks significantly lower than other VAP springs photos IMO.

Thanks

It looks a lot lower because it is a lot lower. I got the VEL-003 (255 mm spring), usually RWD cars get the VEL-004 (290 mm).

I did have the 004s on for a few months prior to this, but I switched them due to almost no apparent drop. Apparently my car was one of the "weird" cases that barely dropped from stock after installing the 004s.

Stock springs

VEL-004 springs

On my current setup with the 003s, I find that the front is perfect, but that the rear is about 1/2" too low. I'm looking into possibly addressing this with a spacer mounted behind the spring perch.
