The ban is not deceided yet. It's more a goal, and it will only apply to new cars. But it is clearly some politicians wet dream....
I am intending to keep my F-type til I can't get in or out of the car 😉 And we have just bought a new "everyday use car", with a 280 hp petrol engine - just to be on the safe side..

Hi Arne, how long do you have a Samsung ? I was very happy with it at first, and even bought new smart TV's due to this. Now I'm fed-up with the phone and getting tired of the TV's..
I used to have a Samsung S6 edge. A good phone, very expensive when I bought it in 2015, not even 3 years ago. But Samsung decided not to make Android 7 or 8 available, so my apps were choking with all the Google crap forced on my phone..
The only way out was to factory reset it. Transferring data was difficult as I block google drive and other NSA sourcing tricks. So I had to do it through my PC what was made extra difficult as google apps blocked it. Now I transferred everything to a Moto X4, then gets new android updates every two weeks. I can choke google apps permanently and they don't secretly switch on again as google play forces updates WITH permits I never gave... Maybe soon I will give up on smartphones all together.
I thought buying some ICE quick would be the answer too, but then I heared of the German Supreme Court allowing Hamburg to outlaw EURO5 diesels and EURO6 petrol cars in 2019...
In the Netherlands I already pay € 3000 pa in roadtax for my 2006 LR3 TdV6 , as they don't only tax the fuel with € 1,10 per liter but also ownership of the car. Next year this will be € 3500 pa as there is no DPF in the car 'factory fitted'.
Retro fitting it is not allowed.
So what I want to say is, don't be to sure your can enjoy it for long. Tax offices tend to copy ideas if these are ways to steal more from their citisens.. You can't say I did not warn you..![Icon Captain](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_captain.gif)
What I paint for you is the image of the "Green fascists" who will tax all energy consumption, only starting with ICE, moving on to the rest.
