I know someone (in a Hyundai) who drove right up to one of those bump stops with no apparent problem but when she reversed back out she ripped off half of the front undertray. It turned out that one of the dynabolts holding the bump stop down had let go and was poking up a couple of cm above the concrete, easy to miss.
The repair cost several hundred $ and she sought recompense from the local council but no go, they escaped through some obscure legal/technical loophole.
Same situation happened to my wife with her CLS. The front fascia/spoiler cleared going forward, but when she left in reverse it caught the steel rod which holds it in place. Put a 3" rip in the painted fascia/spoiler. Luckily I was able to get behind it and add some fiberglass, to hold it back together. I tell her to stop before the curb. But we know how that goes.

I have had some good luck in getting condensation out of headlight assemblies. Once the assembly is removed, shake out all the water you can. Then wrap it in a black plastic bag and let it sit in the sun for many hours. You may have to orient the assembly so that vaporized water has a place to escape.. John
