Offsite winter storage

Offsite winter storage
I rent offsite winter storage for my summer cars, while it is climate-controlled, it doesn't have power source for trickle charger. As such, my only option is to disconnect the battery.
Q1: Is there a special procedure for powering down and powering up the car or just reconnect the battery in the spring and it will start up?
Q2: How do I close and open trunk with battery disconnected? Tape over the trunk latch and then leave trunk lid unlatched?

Lock the car, open the rear hatch, disconnect the battery, manually close the hatch (it will latch & lock). When it's time to open it up again, you will need to unlock the door handle with the physical key hidden in the key fob, open the hood (bonnet), and apply power to the connection points in the engine compartment so you can open the rear hatch. You might want to take the battery home with you to use as the power source when you come back for the car in the spring.

Typically, when I store cars for the winter I do following:
1. Disconnect negative battery terminal
2. Fill gas tank with ethanol-free gasoline
3. Add fuel stabilizer, I use Stabil or SeaFoam
4. Over-inflate tires by about 5 PSI
5. Change engine oil shortly before storing the car
6. Put dryer sheets on top of each tire and couple inside
If the car is stored for 2+ years I do the following differently
1. Remove the battery completely
2.
3.
4. Put the car on stands
5. Change engine oil and fog the engine
6. Put mothballs into engine bay, trunk and under the car. Lots of them.
I haven't stored the car with a keyless before, so we will see if I will have to pair up the key again when it comes out. With F-type, my main concern if electronics will boot up and imitate correctly without getting dealer involved.
