Default Oil Catch Can for F Type

Hi Everyone,

I appreciate all of the great advice from everyone on this Forum.
I have also been watching all of the youtube videos online. There are several parts used from the Jaguar on the Vantage.
There is a guy named Richard Seidlitz ( Redpants) who owns an Aston Martin Vantage with some great DIY videos on Aston Martin Vantage as well as selling OEM and aftermarket parts.
He has a VAP Oil Catch Can he designed with VAP that seems to work great with his 4,3 V8 direct injection engine,

Since our V8 engines are direct injection and there are concerns that the PVC valve allows oil to be deposited on our intake valves etc.
Has anyone installed a similar catch can on their engine ?

Seems like a very good idea when I watch the youtube video of Redpants showing the installation and the draining of oil from the installed catch can.
A lot of oil was drained from the very well designed and OEM looking Oil Catch Can.

Perhaps it might be worthwhile to have VAP designed one for our cars ?

Nothing popped up on the Forum or on the Rock tutorials.

You just reminded me to check. I took a photo and posted on my Catch Can DIY Thread HERE.So others can find it later.

It was not a lot, but you can see in the picture, it is keeping some oil from ending up on the valves, etc... Also, note that the Water/Methanol injection has a great clean property (Alcohol steam vapor) as well as boosting Octane and Cooling IATs.

Hoping between the Catch Can, Running Fuel cleaner every other fill-up, only using Top Tier Fuel, and Water/Methanol Injection always on...It will help keep this puppy clean...

I ran a catch can on my 392 Challenger with a stick. I was amazed how much oil I collected in that can! Can't be good going in the intake like a 2 stroke

Phantom,
I installed a pair of oil catch cans on my V6.
Post on it here with photos: post #18
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...valves-237784/
Deposits on intake valves

What I found was water vapor and gasoline collecting on the Right hand side PCV system (nothing on the left hand side PCV, which is the “high pressure” side).
I haven’t dug into it yet, but the dilution of oil from the fuel is concerning.
I will also go with Fuel Injection Cleaner to try and improve the injector spray quality.
(I purchased my car used, with 17,000 miles on it, so I am still figuring it out)
