Oil change: Before or after?

My 2017 V-6 spent the winter at the dealer one year, for some warranty work. All that turned out OK, but bringing the car home, The CheckEngineLight came on and 'reduced performance" . Dealer said bring it right back. They ran all the diagnostics and said it was most likely the 'old' gas... maybe 4 months old. Their feeling was that these cars are incredibly sensitive, even with the 91 no Ethanol that I ALWAYS use. A fresh tank cleared all the symptoms. I run a bottle of Redline in about every 3 tanks. Had the dealer do the direct injection clean at about 38,000 miles.
Interesting to read about SeaFoam. We use that in all our small engine lawn/garden trimmers/mowers along with some carb cleaner... just a dash of each about every 2 tanks seems to keep them healthy.
I keep the tires at recommended pressure, but the car is stored in an insulated and heated garage, perhaps that makes a difference.

Wait until you find out how long apples are stored before they're sold at the supermarket in the off season! lol
