Default Old Front Bumper fit New Facelift 2018

Ok so I apologize if it has been discussed but my search so far has not found a definitive answer. I am leasing a brand new 2018 F-Type V6 convertible. My only issue is I think the new face lifted front bumper is a very large step back in styling. Is it possible to mount a first generation bumper (ie 2014-2017) on a 2018?

The fenders appear to be the same and the new LED headlights appear to have the same shape. I take delivery in a few weeks and it is a beautiful car however I think the older bumper added a lot more to the front end. The new bumper seems bland in comparison.

Thanks in advance

Welcome. I don't think anyone has tried that yet. Some like the new look, but I'm with you. But I'm biased.

As a lease, you'd have to change back the fascia before returning the car, of course.

I agree, I liked the older bumper better as well. I thought that as soon as I saw the new model design in pics. I just took delivery of a 2018 convertible and I still feel that way.

Yes! Original bumper with the vertical split sections on the air intakes looks MUCH nicer, to me too.

Though I like the earlier bumper, I can't imagine spending the time, effort and money to change one out, never mind on a lease..... You will have to put it back too adding to the whole effort. Fill your boots, but you'd REALLY have to hate the new bumper to bother IMO

I wouldn't start making bodywork changes to a lease.

If it helps you any, i found a good deal on a MY18 bumper as i was needing to replace my bumper. Fits perfectly to a 2015 so the old should in turn fit perfectly on the new one would think.

2018 SVR (The best scenario)

2018 S ftype - (2nd choice)
Hi,

Thanks for your feedback!
My front bumper also needs a swicth, currently the 2015 (vertical fins) front bumper - If I understood correctly, you placed the 2018 square vented bumper and it fitted? That would be great news - I am thinking of placing the SVR front bumper (Above in red) on the front - From all of the fitting points it seems it will be fit al be it may need some retrofitting in certain spots in terms of securing the bumper down. If anyone has done this would be really helpful if you could confirm fitment
