looks like we finally get the 10" screen, but still there is no voice recogniton

so i wonder if it's the full pro functionality like other JLR vehicles, or just the pro in looks only

i also notice they have opened SVO, so my plan of a BRG SVR may finally work, bu there's no SVO interior options

i wish they would have included the display screen gauge binnacle too from other models

Hi, we have the HUD in our XE. I actually dont think it is really needed in the F Type because you sit lower so the HUD would be in your line of sight, whereas in the XE it is slightly lower than where your eyes usually focus.

In the F Type with the '16 guages at least, the electronic speedo is at the top of the centre screen so you are pretty much looking straight at it, and the sat nav directions are immediately below it, so it is pretty much perfect as is.

On the XE, on the other hand, the speedo is at the bottom of the cluster so you have to consciously look down to see it, coupled with the cluster itself being lower due to the seating position.

That said, if it was free I'd have it in the f type. Even though the colour isnt very strong and it is hard to see if you are wearing polaroids, it works well enough.

yep i agree, HUD would be annoying on this car given the rake of the windscreen and narrow view out

Interesting comments from our Australian friends... good points, thank you, I had not thought about this. I still have to buy the car, I’ll live without the HUD.
