I appreciate you looking into it!

It's the result of too many "upstanding citizens" filing lawsuits against manufacturers of all types of devices claiming safety defects. Thus, their corporate lawyers have taken over. The U.S. is the capital of frivolous lawsuits, and it's democracy in action. You're shooting in the wrong direction.

It would be interesting to hear what another dealer says, it doesn't make sense that they will enable it on other models and not the F Type.

They won't enable it on any models in the U.S., and that's including Land Rover according to my dealer (Hornburg Santa Monica).

I wasn't aware the global cars locked, that's very odd why U.S. cars wouldn't.

Oh believe me, we are following the sue regime, slowly but surely unfortunately!
Our UK spec cars have a locking fuel cover.
I wish we could have the funky yellow running LED's that you guys have in the edges of your headlights, but that would be against the ''law'' in Blughty! Mad world hey?

Since there was the possibility that it had changed in 2016, I just checked. Unfortunately, I can confirm no locking fuel filler cover on the US 2016 models either.
That is unfortunate. I think this is the first car I've had in the last decade without a locking fuel cover.
Luckily I live in a fairly low-crime area and keep my car garaged as well, but I suppose auto supply stores still sell locking gas caps for those who do not. Though I am not 100% sure a generic fuel cap will work on these cars, since I thought they had some kind of sensor to detect if the cap is locked. Perhaps its vapor or pressure based.

If you're referring to the J-blade LED running lights, they are white in the US. However, when activating a turn signal, the white lights on the side being signaled go off and we get the required orange blinker.
