It's not awful - but it's not great...

Try fading the sound all the way to the rear - you'll notice that the two rear speakers deliver hardly any volume at all. I've genuinely heard speakers on *phones* deliver more volume and clarity.

Also, see that "speaker" grille on top of the center vent? On the base cars, there's no speaker in there...

Okay, that's definitely pointing to the low pass filter on the feed to the sub woofers having problems, as it appears to afflict all three stereos based on posts here.

Other possibilities include the the channel on the amplifier for the tweeters being connected to the sub-woofers. I wonder if it's possible to mount these things the wrong way round during assembly...

One of the best things i opted for was the aluminium paddles, the ignis plastic ones feel and look crap imo.
They are something you touch all the time and the aluminium ones are so tactile

Are the paddles just bolted on? I wonder if it would be just as easy to get someone to fabricate a set.

Well, retrofit looks to just require the use of an Allen Key. Paddles from other Jaaags also fit.

That sounds promising. I'll stick with the stock ones for now and see how I like them. I'm coming from driving manual my entire life so it will be strange using the paddles anyway.

If you look at the installation instructions for the OEM ones

http://www.mediafire.com/view/yoslvm...e_Shifters.pdf

you will notice that the paddles are more than just a piece of aluminum. There appears to be a switch since there is an electrical connection needed.

Not worth $500 IMO.

Those are the ones. Something you'll struggle to notice (unlike the gear paddles) and which cost £250 on the UK Configurator.

Maybe we could start a new thread that draws on a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: "The paintwork and accessory detail clearly said "Not only am I rich enough to afford this ship, I'm also rich enough not to take it seriously." "

The aim is to choose a colour and combination of options that everyone thinks looks hideous and/or is hideously expensive.

Given how good the F-Type looks, this could take some work...

Don't forget to order the matching footrest also. The R comes standard with the pedals but I had my dealer throw in the footrest also. It helps a lot with left foot grip - plus it looks cool too

Apparently I get the treadplate thrown in on the UK model. Looking forward to seeing what the pedals look like as I honestly cannot remember from the Test Drive (340 'vert and R Coupe).

Thanks...I ordered mine with the interior black pack and it really gets dark so I figured the pedals would help brighten it up a bit...forgot about the dead pedal though.

I think you are confusing the treadplates which cover the door sills with the stainless steel footrest. I don't believe the footrest is standard for any model.
