I would prefer an earlier meet time than 9 or 9:30. Starting at 8am or before would get us onto the winding Santiago Canyon Road before it gets too many other cars to contend with.
I realize an earlier start puts time pressure on those coming from adjacent counties...
Ok west coast, let's see if you can make those numbers stick and have most everyone be able to make it. Need to see a group photo to see if you all can break the FTypes in one place record on the forum of 10. We had that last month in Hellertown, PA. I'm routing for you as large gatherings of these cats are so rare that we need to revel in them anytime they happen.
I suggest we meet at the Park Place Shopping Center in Irvine at the 405 Frwy, Jamboree exit, and Michelson (shown on the Map below). Easy to get to for those not familiar with the area, and Frwy. close. Everyone could park near and/or gather at the Starbucks (2961 Michelson Dr.), there is also a Mother's Market, both open early.
Everybody should plan on arriving by 8am or before, we take to the road by 8:30.
Question to those who are familiar with the establishment... do we make Cooks Corner the famous biker bar, an intermediate stop...? either as a bathroom break, to grab a quick bite, or a refreshing beverage?
Also, any suggestions for Lunch in Dana Point?
A friend suggested Proud Mary's down in the Harbor...

Could start anywhere along this route...
- I started at Park Place Center in Irvine (the one time Fluor property),
- Traveling North along Jamboree Road (avoiding the Toll Road) to Santiago Canyon Rd.,
- To Cooks Corner, though Live Oak Canyon and O'Neill Park, to Antonio Pkwy.
- To Ortega Hwy, by Mission San Juan Capistrano, following Del Obispo into Dana Point Harbor,
- then North-West along Coast Hwy. through Laguna and Corona Del Mar,
- and back to Irvine via Turtle Rock... 2.5 hours without stops.
Minimal traffic if we wrapped up before noon, could even grab a quick early lunch in Dana Point Harbor, at which point those coming from the south may choose to break off and head home. Those from the north would follow up the coast, then trek toward the frwy. depending on time allowed.

I think the OP "SigsJag" wants everyone to meet at his shop in Costa Mesa and then from there we can take the outlined route. We could stop at Cooks Corner for a quick bathroom break / regroup and then continue on the route. As for the ending spot, I think it makes more sense to complete the loop back to Irvine area. There's a good breakfast/lunch spot with outside seating called Panini Café and that shopping center has a few other places to eat if people would rather go somewhere else (or leave since this will be the ending location). There's also a side lot that's usually empty in front of Houston's and across from Panini Café.
This is where Panini Café is: 3041 Michelson Dr, Irvine, CA 92612

Then Sigs should probably take the lead here and get this baby organized.
Got too many peeps adding their name to the list to leave the details hanging in limbo much longer. Would hate to have people show up at the wrong place and time because details got finalized and posted at such a date that not everyone was aware.
Thought about the lot at Houston's (eat there often), and knew that lot would be empty.
Also felt Starbucks would be a better 8am rendezvous point.
Is Panini able to handle a crowd of 12 to 15 or more? The place is tiny.
The reason I suggested lunch in Dana Point was the number of San Diego folks are likely to drop the route there.
Felt it would make for a better and more memorable event if everyone shared a sit down meal and beer together.
I'm in as Tberg has informed you. Please advise as to meetup spot and time at your early convenience. Looking forward to meeting everybody 22+ Ftypes, XKRs, XFRs, etc. awesome!!
