Ordered a 2022 F-Type P450 R-Dynamic AWD

Although I'm new to this forum, I've been lurking for a few weeks. We are not new to JLR, having owned an RRS SC, F-Pace and Velar (current). We recently went through the arduous task of buying a 2022 Land Rover Defender--order was entered first week of March and the car delivered last week in June. Anyway, we've been looking for a new car for my wife to replace her Velar and the F-Type hits all the buttons. We looked at Porsche Cayman and BMW Z4--the only other sports cars that we both like. I spoke to a Porsche dealer and they say no new allocations until end of year. Z4s seem to be trickling-in, but it's the F-Type she (me too) really wants and today we finally were able to get an order submitted for a 2022 P450 AWD Coupe. The order has been "confirmed" and we have a build date of 12/3/21 and planned handover of 1/21/22. Yeah right... Obviously anything can happen between now and then, so I take these numbers with a pinch of sea salt. When I get the VIN number I will be a little more confident.

I will talk with sales guy next week as we are still undecided on color. We ordered portofino blue but will probably change. I will see if he any inside knowledge in the matter.
I’m not sure how they get notified when items are no longer available after an order has been submitted. I assume they get automatic notifications. Still, I’m not surprised there are inconsistencies with these things.

But they were also lower trims that would have had keyless entry and powered tailgate as options. That is what JLR kicked back to them. Those 2 options would be not be on the car.
