Ordering 2023 P450 RWD in the States - lead time and dealer recs
Good morning, after 10 years of enjoying my 2012 XF I'm going to step up to a F-Type. For those who have ordered a P450 recently, what sort of lead times are you being quoted for delivery e.g. six months? Also, any recommendations on JLR dealers in the U.S. that are offering any discounts from MSRP on orders is greatly appreciated. My "local" dealer is 115 miles away in Mobile, Alabama but am willing to purchase elsewhere if there is value. Thank you.

I was told "about 7-8 months" in Jan 2022. I placed my "order" in Feb 12 2022 for model year 2023 in Colorado. My dealer did not have an allocation and we had to wait for one- which was accepted on March 8th to build. Build was April 5th. It hit the west coast of the US May 28th. Should take delivery around June 10th. When I signed the papers confirming options (and a deposit) The dealer locked me in at the sticker price- even though after that the Jaguar site increased the base price by $2,200. So bad news-full sticker. The good news is full sticker. I have seen "market adjustments" from around the country of $4,000 -$15,000 OVER sticker!

There was a Jaguar Clubs NA discount when I ordered. You needed to be a member for six months to get it. The lead for a custom order in 2016 is all I know. I'm sure the situation now is significantly different, but in "normal" times I was told something like 4-6 months, but it came in closer to three (if memory serves).
Good luck!

That's almost what I did--I sold my '18 to Carvana at what I thought was a ridiculous price in July '21 and took a chance on being able to order my '22 with the understanding that I would not pay above sticker (MSRP).
After much gnashing of teeth and biting of finger nails all worked out as planned although it took a couple months longer than I had hoped due to factory delays and whatnot.
As an aside, when I picked up my '22 in March there were cars on the showroom floor with "Market Adjustments" as high as $25,000.00. The lowest Adjustments were $5,000.00 and those were on previously owned models.
Good luck
