The exceptions to the above could include a car subject to environmental abuse [desert sun, particulate carrying wind, tree sap, etc.].

I would if my garage space was being taken up by a Bentley GT and an Aston DBS...but I understand your point, I have tossed up trading the Mustang that lives outside for a '12 or newer XKR, and wondered whether I could bear it living outside (in the end I decided I couldnt live without a manual, so I didnt have to make the call)

I have a Covercraft that I got after a little sun damage to to forwardmost three inches of one of the leather strips on the dash. The "Covid Summer" saw the car sit in one spot for an extended period during scorching heat. That same stretch also did in the back window on the soft top of my Miata, even though it was folded under the hard top and covered with a protector. It might have been the original though, so it didn't owe me anything.
The F-Type cover is the Covercraft Weathershield HD. I don't use it a lot, but it seems to be good quality, as befitting the price. I got what I think is a "Silverguard Plus" from Coverking for the Miata, mostly to protect from sun, but it's not at the same quality (or price) level. I'd have to drag it out, and that's not happening today.
