FType has 82k miles on it. The CEL has been showing those 2 on and off for a few months, now it's always on. Need to pass emissions. Took it to the dealership, they want 7k to replace both cats. They also said I missed the warranty by 2k miles, which especially sucks since the light has been on for a while. Took it to a local shop, they replaced the O2 sensors, air filters, and intake elbow. Had my hopes up saying the CEL didn't come up after the cycle completed. Took it to emissions and it failed readiness. Went driving following the cycle reset procedure (a very lengthy one) and that cleared the catalyst monitor readiness, but P0420 came back. The O2 monitor readiness Took longer, and once that cleared, P0430 came back.
The shop said the cats don't appear clogged. Is there hope it's a matter of alignment at this point, or will I really need 2 new cats? If so, should I go aftermarket?
