Default Paint matching - Rims

Don't ask, and I won't tell...

Just a VERY minor rash on a rim, just enough that it won't buff out, but it doesn't need any filler.

I assume a little sanding and some touch up will make it invisible.

I know I could get someone to do a professional "wheel repair" but since it's really very very small, and just causing me a stomach ache, I'll probably touch it up myself.

Anyone know the exact paint match for the gyrodyne black and diamond turned wheels? (Just the silver lip...)

Wheel repairs companies are all over these days. It's not worth trying to do yourself, they will often come to you, it takes less than an hour for a simple repair like yours, and it will be completely invsible for under $100.

Ok, now that's awesome. Really didn't want to leave my baby anywhere for a day or two. A few hours and come to me service sounds exactly like what I need. I'll have to go google. I would assume the Dallas metroplex has some quality repair shops.

Yep, any big city has probably a half dozen or more to choose from. They work a lot like the glass repair/replacement companies these days.

Maybe it's just because I'm in Maine but Alloy Wheel Repair is coming to fix my 6 super tiny wheel rash spots for $125.

Here's the process if you're interested. They take the tire off, release air pressure so they can break the tire bead, and mask around the area. They sand it smooth, have matching colors for all OEM brands and spray it. They then hit it with a heat gun so it dries quickly. Tire's reinflated and reinstalled, and they're gone in an hour.

Oh no... This might cause a huge problem. Seeing as how I have a Nitrogen fill they better fill it back up with Nitrogen, or I'll be all off balance...

Thanks guys. You've almost made my tummy ache go away.

Well, that explains how you can drive your F-type all winter - you have 6 wheels!

If it's on the diamond turned bit, just borrow some clear nail varnish and coat the scratch.

There may also be some suitable varnish available if it's on the black bits, but only if she's a Goth...
