Pairing Google Pixel 8 pro issues

Hello all, recently changed my phone and it won't pair with car. It's a 2017 F type SVR and both the phone and car see each other but when I set the pin, it keeps saying wrong pin and when I do it the opposite way from car to phone, the phone says pin incorrect. It is a continuous loop of incorrect pin either way I go. I know that on the Jaguar site the phone is not on approved list but thought that phones are backwards compatible with Bluetooth versions. Has anyone had this issue before and if so, is there a fix? Any help appreciated.

I think I had that issue with one of the cars but then it sorted itself out. I would first try shutting the phone down and restarting, just in case (doubt that will fix it), but also you might find the car is running an old version of bluetooth that the dealer can update (I had to do that to get my first fold to work from memory)
