Default Passenger seat belt flails at 70+ (top down)

I have noticed that when I have the top down and get to ~70mph or higher the passenger seat belt starts flailing wildly (no passenger). First time it happened I almost wet my pants because I was certain a large pterodactyl was trying to attack me.

I can't see any obvious clip it can be fastened to for spirited driving.

Anyone else have/solve this?

I've had it happen on other verts that I've had. Sometimes fastening it even though no one is in the seat helps.

Never. Do you have the wind deflector?

Never, and no wind deflector. My passenger seat is at the rear stops and the belt stays tucked behind it.

A Beretta semi-auto shotgun loaded with magnum rounds will deal with most species of Pterodactyl. Obviously, some can lift the entire car if they grab it at the bottom of a dive, so it's important to keep the shotgun handy...

I guess I would need to get a gun and some kind of permit for that. Worth looking into. Also looking at the blasters like the millennium falcon has. I guess the wookie manning the blasters would negate the issue with the seatbelt.

My pax seat belt doesn't do this but my rear seat belts do.

You must have a very unique F-Type

LOL. Indeed unique. I was thinking the same thing since the F Type is 2 seater, but just laughed it off.

Do you have the standard seats or the performance? I have the performance ones and have never had this happen.

Had mine over 110MPH with the top down today, and I didn't hear anything. This was on a track, at full throttle, so my ears may have been bleeding already...

Standard sport seats in mine, and it's never happened.

I may have missed it, but does anyone know if Jagman99R's instructions would also work for a LWB model? Mine is a 2006 XJ Vanden Plas.

Many thanks
