Picking up my Jaguar from Dealer, need advise

I would ask for all software updates, have the In-Control app installed and setup on your phone, ask for two keys, check for an owner's manual, tow hook, wheel lock key (if the car has wheel locks) and have all fluids and the battery checked. They should have done some of that, but you never know.
When you get the car home I would put a battery tender on it. These cars have issues if the battery is low. Chances are it may have been sitting on their lot for a while with minimal use so the battery may be low.

Get the service history printed out so you know what’s been done and up to date. If the motor oil and transfer case is anywhere close to needing to be done, have it done. If you’re close to 50k, have the “lifetime” differential fluid changed. If it is not CPO, look at buying the CPO warranty.
When you get it home, pull the plug on the Start/Stop, order a full set of Porterfield R4-S brake pads and get rid of the Pirelli PZeros.

Definitely get the in service date, date for next service, and warranty expiration date printed out for you, along with the service history. Check the carpeting all around for anything coming loose, especially around the center console and down in the wheel wells near the doors. All recommendations above are spot on!
Enjoy it!

I would check the tires carefully for wear and try to convince them to do an alignment.
Assuming you are buying from a JLR dealer, you should qualify for free service and factory warranty up to 60 months/60K miles.
Also, check that you qualify to purchase the extended warranty for the 2 years following the factory warranty (year 6+7)..

How many kilometres/miles are on the vehicle?
+1 on getting the service history and other vehicle particulars such as key fobs.
Check the coolant level to make sure it's correct. There should be no smell of coolant coming from the engine compartment.
Whilst driving, if the 'Low Coolant' message appears on the instrument cluster, stop the engine immediately and determine the cause of coolant loss.

Since the stop/start issue came up here, does anyone know if this feature can be easily switched off permanently on the 2021 R-Dynamic.
I have seen references to removing/disconnecting the supplental battery but my car only has a single battery.
Right now the first thing I do is turn this mode off at the switch panel but it is only good till the next time I restart the car.

I don't understand the inability to cope with the start/stop feature. There are times I want it. Most of the time I don't but with it permanently disabled, there's no option.
My routine is this:
My routine is this:
- Start the engine. Fast-idle will be on.
- Turn on Dynamic mode.
- Turn off eco (start/stop).
- Switch to TracDSC.
- Fasten seat belt.

Do all the things noted by our esteemed colleagues above and when you get it home from a full day of driving fun, drag a couch into the garage, or get a cot, or at least have a pillow handy. Tell your family to leave you alone and that you’ll see them when you see them as you’ll be sleeping in the car because you just can’t bring yourself to leave it alone by itself……

This is *very* important. Many dealers *punch* the car into the system when they take delivery and that becomes the in-service date as far as any warranty is concerned--even if the car sat for a year on the dealer lot before it was initially sold. The dealer can print out the screen in their system that shows this date. Ask them to pull it up and print it for you. You want that for your records for the factory warranty as well as a CPO warranty if you have one.
