Agreed, I think the Coventry Whitleys from my old XFR looked pretty good on the F-Type, I tried them on it for a couple of weeks a while ago:

Only downside was they looked a bit small on the F-Type, with even bigger wheel arch gaps at the rear due to the slightly smaller overall diameter (285/30 tyres vs stock 295/30). Also, the rear wheels were .5" narrower, 10" vs 10.5" stock. Fronts were identical sizes to stock, both wheels and tyres. The Coventrys are now gone, sold with my old XFR, and if they made them in 10.5" wide (they don't, biggest is 10") I would get another set for the F-Type and put MPS4S on them, and sell the Blades.

For the sake of contributing some alternate ideas, PUR Wheels has done a number of hot set-ups on the F-Type. May not appeal to every individual's style and taste, but certainly enjoyable to see the lines and creativity.

Wheels are like jewelry. You need a big wallet to change them out like jewelry though. They can really change the character of the car. The white/black wheels are certainly interesting. Maybe good for a black tie event at a racetrack.

Agree wholeheartedly with the "wheels are like jewelry" concept...

Just as the right earrings can make a pretty face all the more stunning, the right wheels can enhance the lines of a beautiful car.
Some can be conservatively understated, others can be aggressively bold... but just the right harmonious combination can produce a synergistic elegance and beauty.

I'm still trying to decide on rims but here are some of my favorites... I really like the open grill on the first one.

Deep concave wheels gives the car a great look imo.

I agree. I like those black concave wheels in the top pic. Anyone know who makes them?

Vossen

edit. Here's the link to the full gallery

Theyre almost as expensive as HRE. 2k a wheel before getting into upgrades.

I have not seen these on any F-Type but mine, and I like how they look on her...

Man, so many great wheels combos out there. I just picked up a base conv and the car is awesome. It's the medium gray color (can't remember the name). It's got the stock 18s which look pretty good but the brakes dust so bad thinking of going to a 19-20" darker wheels. Some of the bronze look pretty good but not sure about the color combo. Really like the Niche M130 targa as they have a slight bronze tint and black backing. Thoughts? Thanks!

If you're OK with the existing wheels, would be less expensive to switch to the Porterfield low-dust pads - there's a recent thread on this.

Welcome! I don't think bronze will look good on your car. Post a picture of you car when you get a chance but I think an all black or a color matched grey/gunmetal would look best on dark gray.

Great pics, but a somewhat frustrating topic for me given my preference for BBS and Volk, neither of which have fitment for these cars (only 21" BBS CH-RIIs). Volk needs commitment of 10 sets to build custom wheels which is unrealistic for this market, and I'm not spending $10K+ for HREs which will be illiquid after my lease is up.

SSR does make Professors in our fitment, but that's a stretch. I'd hesitate to change OEM wheels with anything other than BBS, Volk, or HRE as other brands simply aren't for me.

Is your concern about others quality, style or both?

If you're willing to move to 21" rims, BBS offers two wheels that will work. BBS Fahrzeugkonfigurator | Car Configurator
